Do you accept insurance?
We are in-network with Blue Cross Blue Shield and can bill them for services received at our office.* If you have any other insurance provider we will have you pay for services as they are rendered and can supply you with a Health Claims Form (HCFA) which you can submit to your insurance company.
*Your insurance policy is an agreement between you and your insurer, not between your insurer and this clinic. We bill services to insurance as a convenience to you. Like all types of care, coverage for chiropractic and therapeutic massage services vary between insurers and plans. Most insurance policies require the beneficiary to pay co-insurance (a percentage of the service fees), co-payment (co-pay – a flat fee per visit) and/or a deductible. We are not responsible for your insurer’s final payment and benefit determinations.
What should I wear to my appointment?
We can work with any attire, uniforms, etc. You will be lying on the treatment table during your appointment as well as completing Range of Motion movements so please make sure you are dressed to be comfortable during these activities.
Where are you located? Where can I park?
We are in Gaslight Village in East Grand Rapids. Just above Athleta in the circle drive off Wealthy Street SE. In addition to street parking there is a parking ramp located just North of our building as well as plenty of parking in the D&W Market Fresh parking lot to the West. We validate for parking if you park in the ticketed lot, bring your ticket to the office with you for complimentary validation.
Will I get an adjustment during my first visit?
Each new patient exam is about one-hour in length and does include your initial treatment. Your practitioner will then recommend a schedule for follow-up visits to maintain care. The only exception to this is if you are needing x-rays or other examinations to ensure there is not exceptional risk to the chiropractic care. *See X-Ray question for more details.
Do I need X-Rays?
In general, our doctors do not need x-rays to determine what is going on in your body. They can identify misalignments and areas needing attention with a physical examination. If you are showing signs of potential disc issues or other more critical symptoms they may recommend X-Rays prior to providing treatment. We partner with a local office who can take x-rays for you and send them to us directly.
How long are the appointments?
Each New Patient exam is 45 minutes – 1 hour in length. Follow up chiropractic appointments are 20 minutes and the massage therapy sessions are 30 / 55 / 85 minutes depending on your preference.
Do you accept walk-in appointments?
We may be able to accommodate for walk-in appointment depending on our schedule and availability. If would be advisable to give us a call to check if we have open availability to offer. We do have last minute openings due to cancellations or rescheduled appointments and have a wait list each day that you can be placed on if needed.
